One of the many positive things about being in Southern California this winter is that Mexico is only 1.5 hours away. Matt and I decided to rent a tiny home right on the beach for the weekend. Our first morning, we woke up early and walked to the market to get everything we needed to make brunch. This little trip ended up being a fun little adventure. After getting eggs and veggies at the market we wanted to find a bakery to get fresh bread. We walked up and down the main strip looking for a bakery all morning. Matt’s flip flops broke during our venture so then we also had to add in finding a shoe store…which ended up being really fun. We stopped into little shops along the way and haggled for knock off sunglasses and Mexican artwork. We also ended up getting free tequila shots at some point.
After our little outing we finally made brunch and were in relaxation mode for the rest of the weekend. We walked the beach at night and watched the amazing sunsets while drinking cheap red wine.
All was well in the world.
